Interview Project

august 2012 – present

The Interview Project is a growing collection of audio and video recordings where interviewees are asked to talk about themselves and their days, while referring to themselves using third person pronouns. All participants also alternate between using “he” or “she” to refer to themselves throughout the interview process. The goal of this project is to collect sufficient footage to edit a compilation of the interviews. In this compilation, all interviewees refer to themselves as other people while simultaneously giving the impression that they may be referring to the same person.

This project is an ongoing experimental process for developing narrative and character through different permutations of segments from the interviews.
